The Garlow Studio

If you are interested in custom work, let’s talk. Email me your idea and I will contact you for further discussion. Some things to consider are size, text, style, color(s), quantity, and paper. We can also further discuss the process. Please remember all work is hand printed, potentially from hand-set type and this will affect the cost and time required.

After we have made some decisions, I will make a few designs for you to consider. We will discuss the preliminary designs and once we finalize the design, it will be printed. If you already have a design, send me a pdf and we can talk about making it work for letterpress. Proofs can be sent before the actual printing. An additional fee will be included in the estimate.

Cost is dependent on all the factors above but especially on the complexity of the work (design and press time), number of pieces, multiple colors and choice of paper. If a plate is to be made, then the cost of the plate will be included in the estimate as well as any other special design specifications.

A basic project will take at least 6-8 weeks from first design discussions to finished product.
